~ Great Dog Cookie Recipe ~

Put into a Blender

3 raw eggs

1 can of sardines packed in olive oil

1 package (an inside sleeve not the entire box) of graham crackers or if in Australia ~ Wheaten or digestive biscuits.

Mix until liquidy then pour onto a cookie sheet and spread out. Back at 350 F for approximately 20 minutes until it looks rubbery and light brown on top. Let cool then cut.

~ Sunshine Liver Brownies ~

I have never seen a dog that did not adore these:

• 3 to 3 1/2 lbs of liver, beef or chicken
• 1 cup whole wheat flour
• 4.25 oz jar fresh minced or crushed garlic
• 2 cups white flour
• 1/2 cup corn meal
• 1 med shaker of grated parmesan cheese

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cover cookie sheet with foil, coat with cooking spray, sprinkle lightly with corn meal and set aside. Process liver and garlic in food processor or blender until it looks like milk chocolate. Pour into large mixing bowl and blend in the rest of the ingredients. Spread evenly onto cookie sheet (the mixture will be thick) and sprinkle lightly with corn meal. Bake until no pink is left. Bake them for about 30 min for one pan and then turn the oven off and let the pan cool inside. Cut the brownies and freeze. They last for months in the freezer and this recipe makes a large amount.

~ Jordyalan's Wet Dog Food Recipe ~

2 kilos of dog mince
500gms of lamb/beef hearts (or liver)
1 tablespoon of garlic minced
3 carrots diced
2 parsnips diced
2 cups of peas

Place all in large pot, ¾ fill with water and bring to boil.
Simmer until vegetables are half cooked, then add -
1 cup of raw rice
1 cup of raw macaroni
And simmer until rice and pasta is cooked.
Any vegetables can be used in this recipe except potatoes or onions (sweet potato every now and then is ok).
This dog food can be safely frozen into containers.

Jordyalan Kennels uses this dog food mixed in with pre-soaked puppy kibbles and puppy milk for their puppies main meals. Or for adults it is added to their dry kibble.  Add an egg yolk and sardines to the food bowl at least once a week for a lovely coat.

Give raw bones (never cooked) and raw chicken necks, carcases as often as you like for healthy teeth and gums!.

*Always have fresh water available for your dog at all times*

~ Important Information ~

There are lots of human food items that are not good for dogs. Most would require to be fed in large quantities to have an adverse effect. In most cases the worst symptoms would be temporary diarrhea or muscle spasms, but some (such as chocolate) can have more serious consequences. Foods known to be toxic to dogs include chocolate, onion, too much raw garlic, macadamia nuts, green parts of tomato plants, potato peelings, raisins, grapes, rhubarb leaves, yeast dough, hops, coffee grounds/beans, broccoli and pips or stones from many household fruits.
